Working With Connections
The Philadelphia Connections
Social Work Advisory Committee
includes
representatives of all area schools of social work with MSW programs.
The Advisory Committee meets quarterly to review Connections programs
concerning social work and contributes to the formulation of new programs.
Connections provides funding to schools of social work
for a variety
of activities, including:
Speakers and presentations that benefit the
Behavioral Health
System (BHS) of Philadelphia
Consultation by faculty experts for Connections and BHS Provider
agencies
Other Collaborative ventures between schools of social work and
BHS Provider agencies that result in improved
preparation of
social work students for working with BHS consumers
and/or recruitment
and retention of competent social workers for BHS
providers and
governmental agencies.
