Community and Academic Partnership for Integrated Care (CAPI)

A partnership for better healthcare.

Participants in the CAPI project understand that in order to be prepared for a healthcare system of the future, students must understand the role of integrated healthcare and their role on interdisciplinary teams.

The CAPI project was developed out of an expressed need by the Pennsylvania chapter of the National Association of Social Workers (PA-NASW), Clinical Care Committee, identified a concern that social workers were unprepared to work in an integrated healthcare system.

Philadelphia Connections, social work university representatives, and PA-NASW are in active discussion and currently developing a vision, a mission, and strategic plan for how to assure students are prepared to practice in integrated healthcare settings.


Philadelphia Connections is an agency of the Family Training and Advocacy Center for Mental Illness (FTAC), along with the following organizations:
